42nd Staffordshire Photographic Clubs Print Competition
Wednesday 9th April saw the staging of the 42nd Staffordshire Inter-Club Print Competition.
This year ten clubs took part giving the judge David Gibbins ARPS, APAGB, AFIAP one hundred
prints on which to comment and score; in addition there were nine panels of three images to
sort out.
As would be expected the standard of prints was extremely good with images of exceptional quality from the leading clubs. The judge scored images up to 16 points and held back prints, which would receive the highest scores, for further consideration.
As the evening progressed Tamworth along with Stafford PS had six prints each held back and Cannock had five. It looked as if the winner would come from one of these clubs. The result went down to the wire with only five points separating the top three and a single point between the winner and second place.
After a long wait, whilst the marks were checked, it emerged that third place went to Cannock PS, second to Stafford PS and Tamworth PC in first place.
The full results are listed below.
