It is with great delight that I can announce the results from the PAGB GB Cup Small Clubs 2009 competition, Tamworth won with 243 points, with Rolls Royce Derby PS second with 237 points
and third place went to St. Andrews PS with 231 points. This is a wonderful achievement as there
were 58 clubs from around the country entered in the Small Clubs section, and the 58th place club managed 183 points so it appeared to be quite a tight race.
Although this was a club competition, the three judges awarded a best image for the Open Club
and the Small Club sections, the Small Club Award went to Glenshee Tree by Kim Bowen of
Tamworth, winning her a trophy. Phil Satchell got a Judges Choice for Goldfinch, well done to Kim
and Phil.
The prize for the best club was a Jessop's Voucher for £150 which is very nice, we will also receive
a CD in August featuring all the images from the top 5 clubs and at least one image from the
remaining clubs. This can be shown on a club night as a presentation.
On behalf of the club I would like to thank all those that participated, especially those who submitted images, the judges and of course the support of the members.
Tamworth's entry and the overall results are below:
