The annual Natural History Competition was held on Wednesday 6th April 2011. There were 56 entries across two levels of competition: novice/intermediate and advanced.
The judge, Norman Prue FRPS MPAGB EFIAP awarded the Avocet trophy for the best novice/intermediate print to Phil Horton's ‘Banded Demoiselle’; Kim Bowen's ‘Peregrine and Pigeon’ took the Heron trophy for the best advanced print.
