I am delighted to announce that Tamworth was victorious in securing first place in the Staffs Photo Clubs Annual Projected Images Competition which was held at Lea Hall Miners Welfare Club, Hednesford Road, Rugeley on the 19th November.

The competing teams were as follows: Acton Trussell, Burton on Trent, Cannock, Leek, Lichfield, Stafford, St. Leonards & Tamworth.

The judge was Graham Hodgkiss who is no stranger to Tamworth and one of the most eloquent and entertaining judges on the circuit. He is very constructive in his judging style and extremely passionate about what he does.

A scoring system of 1 — 20 was used on all images. Lichfield was awarded three 20 point images, Cannock had two, and Stafford and Tamworth had one 20 point image each although, in the end, the deciding factor was consistency. Of the 10 images entered Tamworth's lowest score was a whopping 16 and the average score per image was 17.8 which is truly commendable.

Images of note were Dave Bowen's "Grey Heron" and Kim Bowen's "Glen Shee Tree" which received 20 and 19 points respectively. The image of the competition went to Alan Nicholas of Lichfield with "The Farrier". Dave Bowen's Heron came a very respectable fourth.
