Jay Birmingham

I've enjoyed the natural world all my life; taking up many different hobbies and pastimes that incorporate this love of the outdoors: climbing, hiking, bird watching, kayaking, travelling and even attaining a degree in Environmental Science.

From this, it was a natural progression to begin to capture these moments on camera, and this has enabled me to show others some of the amazing scenes I encounter in the UK and beyond.

I have only recently started in club photography, but I have had some success in national

competitions with images commended and appearing in the books of Landscape Photographer of the Year and Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year. I have also been a category runner-up in

the British Photography Awards and Outdoor Photographer of the Year and have had photos

published in magazines and newspapers.
