Dave Bowen

My first 'serious' camera was a Halina Paulette Electric film camera back in 1971. From the outset, colour slides were my preference.

It was not until 1981 that I began to pursue photography at club level joining Tamworth club in the Spring of that year. There I received a wealth of advice and encouragement quickly learning to print Cibachrome images from slides.

In 1983 I began entering national and international exhibitions. With guidance from club members I soon achieved a good level of success and still enter exhibitions today 27 years on.

Digital capture has revolutionized photography and made the process of printing a cleaner and more pleasurable experience. I now submit pictures (both colour and monochrome) to exhibitions nationally and internationally by way of inkjet prints and digitally projected images.

Outdoor photography is my preference in particular nature, sports and landscape. I use Nikon camera equipment and an Epson printer.
